Experian®, the leading global information services company, today announced new enhancements to its Collections Recovery Tool(SM), a commercial skip-tracing service that increases opportunities for collections professionals to collect on outstanding obligations. The newly enhanced service provides users with alternative contacts and business locations, greater insight into a debtor’s credit relationships and access to a debtor’s payment behavior to identify those most likely to pay off existing debt.

“As we develop new applications to assist our clients in growing their businesses, we are also committed to continue enhancing our existing products and services that enable them to become more efficient and productive,” said Allen Anderson, president of Experian’s Business Information Services. “The Collections Recovery Tool enhancements provide an additional level of insight into a debtor’s business relationships, allowing our clients to allocate resources appropriately and focus their collections activities, which will save them both time and money.”

The new enhancements to Collections Recovery Tool include:

  • More qualified contacts — Increase opportunities to collect with additional qualified contacts and operating business locations to help locate hard-to-find debtors.

  • Business owner linkage data — Assess the overall financial health of a debtor by identifying all businesses associated with that debtor, along with the creditworthiness of those businesses. Additionally, uncover co-owners/principals linked to the business who may also have financial responsibility.

  • Trade payment behavior data — Manage collections more efficiently by understanding which debtors are most likely to pay based upon 90-day payment performance indicators.

Collections Recovery Tool leverages Experian’s BizSourceSM database and multiple third-party data sources to supply alternative contact names, addresses, telephone numbers and affiliated business accounts. On average, 100,000 contacts are added and 3.7 million business profiles are updated weekly to ensure collections professionals have the most updated contact information.
