Account Control Technology Foundation Chairman Rides to Arctic Circle to Support Education

Account Control Technology, Inc. (ACT), a national leader in delivering debt management and recovery solutions, has been following the progress of Dale Van Dellen, ACT Chairman and Chairman of the Account Control Technology Foundation, as he takes a solo motorcycle ride exceeding 4,000 miles (one way) from Los Angeles to Deadhorse, Alaska to raise funds for local and national scholarship programs.

As of today, Van Dellen is well over half-way to his destination, having entered eastern Alaska from the Yukon Territory, Canada. His progress can be followed at: https://rally.org/actfoundation.

Funds raised from Van Dellen’s journey will benefit the Account Control Technology Foundation (herein ACT Foundation), a non-profit organization which works to support education, build financial literacy, fund vital charities and provide community support. Incoming funds will be earmarked for two college scholarship programs launched by the ACT Foundation in 2013 – one for deserving second-year students at colleges and universities nationwide, and one for graduating high school seniors in local communities surrounding ACT offices. Seed funding of $50,000 will deliver 50 $1,000 scholarships through the programs in 2013, and the goal of Van Dellen’s trek is to raise additional funds and awareness to ensure the two programs’ longevity.

Van Dellen’s “Trek for Education” began on June 9, and he plans to reach his destination by June 22. The round trip will take him 30 days (with a return stop to rest in Alaska). Van Dellen’s journey corresponds with the rollout of the ACT Foundation’s Second-Year Scholarship Program for college sophomores nationwide, through which 25 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.
