Ontario Systems, a leading provider of accounts receivable management software, announced today the hiring of Rozanne Andersen as vice president, compliance and government affairs, effective May 9, 2011.  Andersen, a highly regarded 15-year veteran of the collection, debt purchasing and financial services industry, will be Ontario’s in-house legal and compliance expert.

“We are so glad Rozanne has joined the Ontario family. We have respected her leadership in the ARM industry for many years, and we know we are lucky to have her on board,” said Tony Reisz, president and CEO of Ontario Systems. “She brings experience and a vision that are aligned with ours and will help us continue to grow and develop cutting-edge products and services in a constantly evolving regulatory environment. Rozanne’s expertise will help us stay on top of legal and regulatory changes so we can continue to expand as a trusted advisor to our clients.”

Andersen, a licensed attorney, received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and has worked with ACA for many years, most recently as CEO. She is also a certified association executive from the American Society Association of Executives. Andersen has been awarded Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer magazine and named one of the “5 Women You Should Know” by Collections and Credit Risk magazine, among other professional honors.

In November of last year, Andersen was removed from her CEO post at ACA International, the largest trade group for ARM professionals (“Rozanne Andersen Out as Head of ACA International,” Nov. 17, 2010). Andersen had served as the group’s CEO for only one year following stints as ACA’s general counsel and EVP. She took a position at Minnesota-based law firm Morrison Fenske & Sund, a 20-attorney practice that focuses on a number of corporate and business issues, including FDCPA compliance and defense, soon after her departure.

“I am honored to be a part of Ontario Systems, which I have considered a premier company in the debt collection field.  Its leadership, energy, intelligence and forward-mindedness have always put Ontario light-years ahead of others in the industry,” said Andersen. “I consider it an achievement to have been invited to join the company and look forward to bringing my knowledge of collections, government affairs and compliance directly into Ontario’s products and services.”

LeAnne Hester, chief marketing officer of Ontario Systems, added, “Our clients will see almost immediate benefits from Rozanne joining our team because her input will be reflected in our products, services and educational offerings from day one, and we are excited for her to begin. I’ve known Rozanne for a while now, and although I’ve always considered her a leader in the industry, I am proud to now call her a colleague.”
