Collection Agency Donates Over $36,000 to Charity in 2010

Marlborough, Mass. – American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Michigan, Massachusetts and North Carolina has tallied up their total 2010 charitable donations and in 2010 APR and its team members raised nearly $40,000 for several different efforts that aided those in need.

Almost $15,000 of the amount was donated or raised by employees alone who have not only embraced the charitable efforts of the collection agency but have also suggested and spearheaded other charitable and community events.

During 2010, APR was actively involved in charitable efforts that raised money for over 35 different organizations including their largest effort for The Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk which raised over $16,000 in three cities.

Other efforts included:

• PLANET Day of Service – raised $3,900 and cleaned up the landscaping of local charities and community organizations
• APR’s Charities of Choice – internal fundraising effort that raised $1,355 for several local charities chosen by APRs employees
• The 2010 Collector’s Challenge – a fundraising effort sponsored by the ACA Education Foundation where APR raised nearly $2,000
• The Adopt-a-Family program – raised nearly $1,500 and donated countless gifts to families during the holidays

In 2010 the collection agency also raised over $1,000 to assist Haiti earthquake victims, they donated nearly $10,000 to help their own employees in emergency situations, and they contributed an additional $1,370 to other philanthropic endeavors. APR aims to continue their support of community events in 2011 by raising even more money to help people in their community in need and boost employee morale.
