Javitch, Block & Rathbone Lawyer Named Rising Star

Kimberly L. Rathbone, Practice Partner of the Insurance Subrogation Department of Javitch, Block & Rathbone (JB&R), has been named a 2011 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers.  Lawyers selected by Super Lawyers have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement and are chosen through a muti-phased selection process which includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Rathbone joined JB&R in 2003 as an associate after working for another law firm, and in 2007 became a partner charged with developing and increasing the Insurance Subrogation Department.  Since then she has assisted in growing the department from a few employees to a staff of over 40, and runs one of the largest networks of subrogation attorneys in North America.

Rathbone is active in a wide variety of civic and professional organizations.  She is the former chair of the City Club of Cleveland New Leaders, a Downtown Cleveland Alliance City Advocate, and a member of the Cleveland Business Leaders Committee at the Union Club.  She also maintains various leadership positions in the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.  In 2007, she was named one of Cleveland’s 25 Under 35 Movers & Shakers by the 20/30 Club.
