Fannie Mae this week faces the first of many high hurdles when investigators deliver a report on the mortgage giant’s accounting problems, giving Wall Street and Congress their most recent look at the extent of the multibillion-dollar scandal.
According to sources, Fannie’s board gathered on Tuesday and was due to be briefed on the report from former New Hampshire Sen. Warren Rudman either Tuesday or Wednesday.
The company will then release the Rudman report to the public on Thursday, sources said.
