Navicure, a leading provider of automated, Web-based revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions for physician practices, today announced its exclusive contract with Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit, Protestant healthcare organization in the United States.
“Adventist Health System has selected Navicure as our enterprise wide vendor partner for the physician practice claims clearinghouse solution,” said Brent Snyder, senior vice president and CIO for Adventist Health System. “We believe that technology and process consistency in terms of the physician claims clearinghouse is an important part of the revenue cycle for Adventist Health System.”
All events associated with claim delivery and payment are normalized and warehoused in an Oracle environment. This pool of data allows each party involved in this process (billing, coding, clearinghouse, payer) to have instantaneous access to data at a granular level for acceleration of claim payment or at a macro level to identify opportunities for improvement.
Navicure’s Dynamic Claims Status functionality, for example, enables claims to be easily tracked in any stage of processing and addressed in the event of a rejection or denial. Advanced reporting empowers executive management to quickly identify the departments that trigger errors and implement process improvement. Collectively, these tools reduce laborious rework of claims, accelerate cash flow and decrease revenue leakage.
“Adventist Health System developed a formal RFP and objective process for vendor and product evaluation based on user defined needs. This process identified Navicure as a clear-cut choice for our advanced RCM solution,” said John Kupkovits, corporate applications officer for Adventist Health System. “Navicure scored the highest among the five vendors we evaluated across a spectrum of criteria. We were also influenced by the ease of integration with our practice management system and the depth of experience of Navicure personnel. We are truly looking forward to a long term relationship.”
“To be selected as a partner vendor by such a well-known and respected healthcare organization is quite an honor,” said James M. Denny, Jr., president and chief executive officer for Navicure. “We look forward to delivering on the promise of automation in this important business area.”
